1. Patience
A. Strong (5281): cheerful (or hopeful) endurance, constancy
B. Thayer: steadfastness, constancy, endurance, in the NT the characteristic of a man who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith and piety by even the greatest trials and sufferings…a patient enduring, sustaining, perseverance
C. Vine: Literally, an abiding under…may be passive, i.e., = endurance
2. Perfect
A. Strong (5046): complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral characteristics, etc.), completeness
B. Thayer: brought to an end, finished, wanting nothing necessary to complete
C. Vine: a fulfillment, completion, perfection, an end accomplished as an effect of a process
3. Work
A. Strong (2041): toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act
B. Thayer: any product whatever, anything accomplished by hand, art, industry, or mind
C. Vine:
1. Work, employment, task…here the work of patience
2. The development of every grace into maturity
4. Perfect
A. Strong (5046): complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral characteristics, etc, completeness
B. Thayer: brought to an end, finished, wanting nothing necessary to complete
C. Vine: a fulfillment, completion, perfection, an end accomplished as an effect of a process
5. Entire
A. Strong (3648): complete in every part, that is, perfectly sound
B. Thayer: complete in all its parts, in no part wanting or unsound, complete, entire,
whole
C. Vine:
1. Complete, sound in every part
2. Every grace present in Christ should be manifested in the believer
6. Wanting
A. Strong (3007): to leave, to fail or be absent…be destitute (wanting), lack
B. Thayer: to be destitute of, to lack, to be wanting
C. Vine: to be wanting
7. Nothing
A. Strong (3367): not even one (thing)
B. Thayer: nothing
C. Vine: in nothing, not anything
