TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

April 20, 2024

Deuteronomy 23:1 – He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

Thought: When the body of a Jew was flawed, mutated, or mutilated, it rendered the individual like unto a second-class citizen. Some believe he could only be part of the nation as a eunuch. Others believe the defects hindered the individual from serving in any official capacity in the nation. Our society is extremely protective of those with physical disabilities. We must remember that God desired a holy nation through which the Messiah was to be born.

Leviticus 21:17-21
