TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

May 19, 2024

Deuteronomy 24:16 – The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Thought: God is a just God. He holds each person responsible for his own actions. “…every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” Yes, others can try to influence another person to do evil, but that choice is up to the one who does the evil. Not even the devil himself can force a person to do something against his will. It is also true that some individuals rebel against godly instruction and discipline. This rebellion is not the fault of the instructor.

Ezekiel 18:20
