Romans 11:30 – For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief.
Thought: At the time of the writing of the book of Romans, the Jews were in unbelief about Jesus Christ and the salvation He brought to the world. Paul now reminded the Gentiles that there was a time when they did not believe in God. Romans 1:18-32 describes the thinking and behavior of the Gentiles in times past. But when Paul wrote this epistle, the Gentiles had obtained mercy. The Jews’ unbelief caused the gospel to be delivered to them.
Acts 18:5-6
