III.      APPLICATION TO CHURCH GROWTH

A.   To spread the gospel, we must go where the people are (Acts 3:1).

B.   God can use the least desirable of society to assist in the spread of the gospel (Acts 3:2).

C.   We may not have gold or silver to offer beggars, and, we may not have the ability to work miracles, but we do have something valuable in the gospel of Christ to give them (Acts 3:6).

D.   Whether applied to miracles or the commands of Christ, the name of Christ is the authorization (Acts 3:6).

E.   Miracles were used to confirm the words of the apostles (Acts 3:7).  Miracles recorded in God’s Word still provide witness to the truth (John 20:30-31).

F.    Spiritual hearing should involve the praise of God as much as physical healing does (Acts 3:8).

G.   One small opportunity can develop into a larger opportunity to preach the gospel (Acts 3:9-11).

H.   Honest individuals should still be amazed by the miracles that are recorded in Scripture (Acts 3:10).
